One to one physiotherapy, inside the walls.

A three-room practice on Ermou, a short walk inside the Venetian walls. Sessions run fifty minutes and the physiotherapist who assessed you is the one who treats you. Nobody puts you on a machine and leaves the room.

A treatment room at Northgate Physio: tall green louvred shutters open to the street, a black plinth and a stool on a pale terrazzo floor in the morning light.
How it works

What a session actually looks like

You get fifty minutes and one physiotherapist. The assessment and the treatment happen in the same room, in the same appointment, and the person who assessed you is the person you see next time.

Most of that time is hands-on work and loading. We find what hurts, we test what it can take today, and you leave with the smallest amount of homework that will move it. There is no machine you get plugged into while somebody sees another patient next door.

Marios Konstantinou runs the practice with two colleagues. Between them they see runners, people whose backs have had enough of a desk, and knees and shoulders working their way back from surgery.

What we work on

  • Runners

Achilles, shins, hamstrings, knees and the calf that keeps going on the same run. We look at how you load it as well as where it hurts, and we build the return week by week rather than guessing at a date.

  • Backs and necks that sit all day

Low back pain and neck and shoulder pain that show up around a desk. Hands-on work to settle it, then the specific loading and the small changes at the desk that keep it settled.

  • After knee or shoulder surgery

Post-surgical rehabilitation at the pace the tissue allows, from the first weeks of range and swelling through to strength and getting back to what you actually do. We work to your surgeon's protocol.

  • Return-to-running group

A small Saturday-morning group for people coming back after a layoff or an injury. Running technique, progressions and the honest answer about how much you can add each week.
